DESCRIPTION

I took this photo at sunset in July 2021 in Colorado's Ice Lake Basin. Blue columbine flowers painted the meadows and the rocky mountains were dotted with snow. The main trail was closed when I went, so I hiked in from Ophir and crossed the pass right next to Ulysses grant peak. It was treacherous, but that means no one else was there. I had the whole place to myself for 3 days. A once in a lifetime experience at one of the most popular locations in San Juan. I spent my time reading, fishing, taking pictures, thinking. 

ABOUT THE PRINT

All prints in my store are produced by The Print Space, using my original images. The Epson Semi-Gloss Giclee paper was selected for its distinct photographic paper qualities. The flat surface and robust feel of this paper hold color saturation and high-contrast images well. As its name suggests, the surface of this fine art paper is semi-gloss with a resin coating which combined make this our strongest yet lightest paper in the Giclee range. A small, discreet signature is in the bottom left corner.
